Myers-Briggs

The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people’s lives.

The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment.

Type can be introduced into an organization to support many different functions and situations including managing others, development of , organizing tasks, creation and management of, training for management and staff, , motivation, , , recognition and rewards, and change management.

When you understand your type preferences, you can approach your own work in a manner that best suits your style, including how you manage your time, , best approaches to  and dealing with stress. Knowledge of type can help you deal with the culture of the place you work, the development of new skills, understanding your participation on teams, and coping with change in the workplace.

Matthew is certified to administer the MBTI Step I and Step II and has led over 70 leaders in the military through type discovery and implementation in the work setting, with profound results for team development and synergy. His experience with the type indicator has also proven useful in his personal and marital counseling sessions, creating breakthrough moments of understanding for individuals and couples struggling with the frustration that comes with a lack of understanding of themselves and one another. Type indicators are administered online through CPP and results are delivered in either one-on-one counseling sessions, or in a group setting as part of team development and building.
