One thing I wish I had done well during the last Deployment would have been to journal out my experiences, thoughts and feelings. After returning, I found that while counseling soldiers my personal memories, long forgotten, began to surface. When I learned that I would be returning to country, I vowed to not leave those valuable lessons and memories behind. So this page will be a continual reflection on my time in country, including reminiscing about wisdom from the last deployment. I hope that reading through these thoughts will not only encourage you to do the same, but can be a forum to discussing the similarities and differences the deployment, combat and family separation can have in our lives.
